|
|
|
- Widely used in distribution of water / drinking water installation in Residential area as it is not detrimental to human health. It's Hygenic and Odourless. There is no bacterial or Fungal Growth and no Contamination.
- Resistant to heat or cold. No need for insulation against heat. Withstands temperature range – 2 Degree Census to 90 Degree Census. Keeps inner climate constant.
- Endures to climatic condition.
- Resistant to corrosion, does not rust or decay, No scaling or calcification.
- Resistant to chemical reaction, acids, salt and alkalis, may safely be used together.
- Low friction losses. Resistant to abrasion.
- Extremely light weight – easy to transport & install.
- UV Stabilized, Resistant to ultra violet rays
- Strong tough and long lasting - can be safely used for duration of minimum 50 Years.
The adhesion is very simple and easy by FUSIOTHERM WELDING. Adhesion is firm and will not effect inner diameter – makes the system leak-proof. Maintenance free and easily repairable. Extensive savings in time and labor. |

Precautionary Measures During Installation |
|
|
- When using PRIME fittings with metal threaded parts, white Teflon sealing tapes must be applied adequately to prevent leakages from threads.
- During Fusion welding:
- Fusion part must be free from sand and particles
- Welding time and depths must be observed
- Do not twist and turn pipes and fittings while inserting and detaching from welding machine.
- Pressure test must be conducted before concealing pipe work.
- Little gap must be left in the wall wherever there is any kind of joint.
- Do not over tight fittings with metal parts to avoid damages.

THERMAL EXPANSION
Polypropylene pipes have a thermal expansion and flexibility. This fact should be taken into consideration while designing water supplying system, specially hot water piping.
Thermal expansion of water supplying systems can be accommodated in the pipe bends or loop as compensators. The principle is to control thermal movements by constraining the pipe laterally. More details can be provided on request.
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE CHART
One of the characteristic of Polypropylene Random Copolymer ( PP / PP-R) is its property of having the greatest chemical resistance. The chemical resistance of any substance has direct relation with its properties, its composition, its concentration, heat and duration under effect. The chemical resistance chart for the Chemicals with different composition and concentration and their resistance at various temperatures can be provided on request.
THERMAL INSULATION
Thermal Insulation may be installed for the purpose of preventing sweating and condensation. How ever Polypropylene material has rather low thermal conductivity, thus PP-R pipes require less insulation material then metal pipes. For example PN 20 pipe will have 53 deg C surface temperatures as a result of transporting water at temperature 80 deg C for a continuous time. |
